THE MOMO WAY

We are an equity real estate development firm formed to empower communities through building exceptional residences and commercial spaces that are workforce affordable, environmentally sensitive and highly valued by our residents, our city of neighborhoods, and by the market.

Vision

Neighborhoods are vibrant, safe, culturally rich, and economically viable. We have achieved development without displacement. Our communities are self-advocating, self-determining, self-generating and fully engaged.

BECAUSE WE SAID SO.

We bring the lens of community empowerment, agency and self determination to all of our real estate development projects. We have the rigor, the boots on the ground experience, the network, credibility, track record, and the SAUCE to create transformational impact.

As a team indigenous to Baltimore, with a commitment to bold actions, we declare that our communities will flourish! And together, we shall thrive... because we said so.

REAL ESTATE PROJECT MANAGEMENT

We provide oversight and project management -- "boots on the ground" -- from pre-development to lease-up to ensure project success. Consider us your extended team.

 SECRET SAUCE (C.R.E.A.M.)

Community Revitalization, Empowerment & Agency Model

Real estate development is the means we choose to create transformed, vibrant, and culturally-rich communities. And unlike many developers, we have a unique process that places communities at the center of our real estate projects. This is not your typical "community engagement" or "community voice" box that we check off on a list of to-do's. This process is central to our values, our work, and our legacy.

C.R.E.A.M. embodies the principles of socially regenerative development  -- a world view that requires all segments of our society (cultural, political, social, economic, etc.) to participate and deliberate together to co-create quality living experiences for communities historically disregarded and underserved.

CENTERING COMMUNITY

We go beyond the typical focus on material resources and monetary outcomes to center solidarity and agency.

Each real estate project is different and teams have varying levels of capacity; therefore, we have designed 3 levels to our CREAM approach, similar to LEED certification for green buildings, that allows developers to employ this model with any project.

We can provide training on this model to your development team or a trained community engagement specialist to lead your organization through the CREAM process and impact assessment for your project.

THE DREAM TEAM
